About Me

I was born in Camden Maine and quickly realized I love all things about nature.   As a kid I always wanted to go to college, my desire was to eventually take any course that would enhance my love of the outdoors and possibly earn a living.   However, I was drafted out of college into the US Army and sent to Viet Nam.  While in the Army I purchased my first camera, Yoshika.  I learned to develop my black and while film while in DaNang in my off time.  After spending 2 tours in Viet Nam I was accepted to MSU in Bozeman Montana and continued pursuing my education in chemistry as well as Zoololgy and Entimolgy.  Forty four years ago I married a local girl from the area, Dara Lynn Spomer,  we started our family.  We have three fine sons who make me very proud. Through their childhood years of  I was able to impact our sons lives through my college education as well as my personal experiences growing up in Maine and serving in the Army.

My love of photography never waned as I have kept my camera, many different ones over the years,  by my side continuosly .  I was not the best at catching shots of our boys, but my wife could tell you I made up for it with many memories and pictures of flys, fish, birds, rock formations, grasses and the list goes on.

Now that I am a grandfather of 5 so far, I hope to teach and impact our grandkids in the same positive manner.

I am always in search of the next best photo!!

I hope you find enjoyment in viewing my photographs.
